Dear all,
Please see a new upcoming parent coffee morning we're hosting with Epic Luton. We hope you can join us.
Lime class got out and about in our local community and completed a scavenger hunt for road signs. Not only did they find some they were able to state what they mean and discussed road safety.
Students in Birch class have had a great time this week embracing our theme "Great British Summer", from using the traditional play equipment on our top playground to creating beautiful English themed flower art work. Well done Birch class.
Willow class have been studying a variety of different inspirational people in History and Geography this half term. This week, we learnt about Florence Nightingale, "the lady of the lamp", and her work around nursing. Students in Willow then had the opportunity to practice some basic first aid skills. We also learnt about an artist called Christy Brown. Christy Brown was born with cerebral palsy and was only able to use his left foot to carry out tasks; the students were not keen to attempt painting with their left foot but instead attempted to paint with their non-dominant hand to gain a better understanding of what it would be like to carry out tasks with a limb that they are not used to using in this way.
Dear all, we are delighted to share with you the three inspirational people our school council have chosen to name our three houses after. Our new Houses are Musk, Adepitan and Chandran. We feel our students have picked three great choices. We hope you agree.
This afternoon we had the pleasure of welcoming some extremely talented members of Luton 6th form college, who performed a Coldplay set. Every student, our neighbours, staff and even passers by were impressed. A perfect afternoon to celebrate music, talent, diversity & inclusion. We can't wait to welcome you again. @LutonSixthFormCollege
